Meditation

Meditation can be practised anywhere: at your desk, before interviews, meetings or performances when studying or taking exams, after a hectic day, before and after picking the children up from school, for relaxation and to ensure a better nights sleep.

Meditation can help to balance blood pressure, reduce the risk of headaches, help relieve pain and tension, and can bring peace, serenity and health.

It takes only an hour to learn and a few minutes to practise each day.

Pure Meditation Foundation is for all ages from 5 years to 105. It is available as an individual training course, or for small groups by appointment.

A valuable first step towards learning in-depth Pure Meditation, it is also complete in its own right. It helps to reduce stress and emotional reactions and improve concentration, so that natural talents, abilities and memory can be developed.

Healing

NATURAL SPIRITUAL HEALING is the Divine science and art of Balance. It helps us to be more balanced in our body, mind and spirit. This means that while the innermost layers of a person are balanced and energised, a sense of being more at peace with oneself and the world is achieved.

This inner balance then positively affects the outer layers of a person - the mind and emotions - effecting more mental poise, more concentration and focus of mind, and settling the emotions.

The most outward layer, the physical body, is also very positively affected. As the energy becomes more balanced, so the body chemistry is also brought into a state of better balance. Functions that have been 'forgotten', or conditions that the body has not had the strength to deal with often begin to improve. The improvement can be gradual or dramatic. Many individual factors are at work here, so it is not possible to predict how quickly a particular condition will improve.

What illnesses can be helped? Because healing works so holistically, there is no limit to what sort of dis-eases of the mind, body or spirit can be helped. Healing always treats the whole person, as well as the disease, and many patients become truly well. People going through natural times of physical change often have healing to help smooth the process and avoid possible complications. These include those in adolescence, pregnancy and menopause, where the natural change can be a time of joy rather than a time of upset.

Healing following accident or shock Following an accident, healing is very helpful in supporting orthodox treatment to damaged areas, and also in helping to heal the trauma from such an event. Healers regularly witness patients recovering faster than expected following accidents if they have also received healing. Broken bones, muscle and tissue damage, and whiplash all tend to improve faster, as healing helps the person's energy body to re-align itself more quickly, which results in a quicker physical recovery as well. Apparently 'minor' accident damage such as sprained wrists and dislocated joints can benefit tremendously from receiving healing, preferably soon after the event. Even 'old' or long-term damage can be completely helped.

Healing & Surgery It is ideal to have healing both before and after any surgery, as it so greatly helps the body's own healing process to speed up. Surgery is often very necessary for a person's well-being, and by helping to minimise the shock to the system surrounding this procedure, healing can help to reduce any post-operative complications. Once again, this is a situation where recovery is often faster than expected when a patient is also receiving healing.

Healing & Medicines Healers are often asked: 'Will I have to stop taking my drugs?' The answer is no. Whilst sometimes people feel they no longer wish to take the medication prescribed for them, a healer will ask the patient to consult with their Doctor if this question is raised. It is often very inadvisable to suddenly stop taking a prescribed drug, and expert help must be sought on this question. If, however, a patient is withdrawing from drugs with their Doctor's guidance, healing is extremely supportive in the process, helping to minimise any possible withdrawal effects. If a person is continuing to take their medication, they can still receive healing, and may in fact find that any side effects are reduced as a result. A professionally trained healer will always respect treatment prescribed by a patient's doctor.

Can Healing be mixed with other therapies? Yes, healing can be compatible with and helpful to other therapies. However, it is a whole therapy in itself and the patient should consult the healer to decide whether it is necessary to have other treatment, and to decide the time needed between other therapies and healing.

Can healing help with an emotional problem or a life crisis? Many people seek help from healing at times such as divorce, relationship difficulties, bereavement, illness of a loved one, or a financial or work crisis. Any family, social or emotional issues can be greatly helped, as healing supports and balances a person's inner resources, helping them to cope better and perhaps to see things in a different way. This is very different from a psychotherapeutic or counselling approach, as a personís energy actually helps them to feel better through and through, without necessarily talking much about the situation. (However, some healers are also trained as Progressive Counsellors, and may, in certain circumstances, recommend this approach). Many people with non-specific or hard-to-explain emotional difficulties benefit from healing. Often, simply feeling not quite right or unhappy without reason is a good indication that healing is needed.

Healing and Mental Health Problems Many people with mental health conditions find help from Healing. Problems range from mild and severe depression, manic depression to schizophrenia and psychic disturbances. With these conditions, it is once again very important not to withdraw from prescribed drugs, but to liaise with the prescribing doctor if wishing to discontinue medication or change dosage.

Healing: Prevention is better than cure Going back thousands of years, the balancing effects of Healing have been used in a preventative way. By harmonising the energies, small imbalances can be sorted out before they become major illnesses. For similar reasons, many people come to Healing for help with their personal progress. By unblocking obstructions within the energies, problems in personal life, spiritual progress and meditation practice can all be helped. Thus those who feel 'stuck' often find their life opening up, and things becoming clearer.

Is faith necessary? No, but as with everything else we do, the more we believe in it, the faster it works. However, many 'non-believers' have healing and find it very effective. A good healer will neither press a particular religious view on a patient, nor will they hold prejudices against a patient's spiritual beliefs.

How often is Healing needed? This is individual, depending on the severity of the illness and many other factors. However, visits could be once a week, with more time between visits as the patient improves. In acute situations, it may be necessary to start with more frequent appointments.

Children & Healing Children respond well to healing and enjoy their appointments. Most experienced healers are happy to treat children, but if in doubt, do ask.

Animals & Healing All animals can benefit greatly from healing; domestic and farm animals happily receive healing.

How Healing works We are deeply connected to the life-force or cosmic energy that permeates the Universe. If our connection with this force becomes weakened or blocked, we eventually show signs of illness or instability. The healer is trained to act as a pure vessel, so that the patient's own life-force is strengthened and healing takes place. Balancing of the life energies is also done in this way, helping one to feel more centred and at ease with oneself and life.

Counselling

Progressive Counselling & Coaching is an advanced form of counselling that is about dealing with the here and now and moving forward from now in a more sustainable way.

Life patterns and habits that a client wishes to change can be addressed at their own request and at the right time. It helps a person to see and choose which way to go in their life, whether with regard to relationships, decisions, illness or any other pressing issues.

A Progressive Counsellor will never make a person's decision for them, nor tell them what to do, but will help them to unravel and see what is hidden within.

Practical life tools and support is offered for the situations that people find themselves in, whether it be stress, illness, injury, depression, sleep patterns, eating habits or relationship issues.

Benefits: often a person finds their own natural level of intuition and decisiveness greatly enhanced by this process, as they come to understand themselves to a greater depth.

While someone may come to Progressive Counselling for a particular problem, they will very likely also address other life issues that need tackling. However, this will be at the time when asked for, as no Progressive Counsellor will 'delve' unnecessarily. Similarly, no one is ever asked to look at issues from the past until they wish to: partnerships, family, bereavement, career and business relationships are all situations that can be worked with in counselling, either individually or together with those involved.

Many come to Progressive Counselling for guidance with their spiritual development, and for progress generally, self-development or life skills~ because they want their lives and their relationships to continue developing to be the best they can possibly be. Progressive Counselling is very much about empowering someone to take a healthy charge of their own life.

Yoga

Transformation Hatha Yoga is a beautiful form of exercise which nurtures the whole being whilst keeping us fit. Because Transformation Yoga encourages and works in harmony with each person's natural energies, a greater degree of peace can be attained on all levels: spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.

Attention is given to the breath, and by co-ordinating our physical movements with the breath and with mind concentration, we can begin to achieve our full potential.

As we become more in tune with ourselves we can then feel more at ease, be better able to deal with stressful situations, and have greater clarity when making decisions. Beauty of spirit, grace of movement and peace of mind then flow naturally.

Transformation Hatha Yoga is for all ages, conditions and abilities, and is taught with individual attention from the teacher.

2.) The Animal Healing Course is a two day course for those who wish to learn how to give Natural Spiritual Healing to animals. Working with love and respect for all animals, the course shows you how to help enhance the animal's quality of life and to stimulate their body's own healing mechanism.

When considering animal healing we also need to look at the part people play in the health and well-being of animals. An holistic approach is used in order to deepen our understanding of the balance between animals, man, and the world we live in. By seeing the body-mind-spirit as inter-connected levels and honouring each as having an important role, every aspect of an animalís being is able to benefit from the healing.

Specialist knowledge for particularly needy cases, animal behaviour, starting a practice, administration and how to manage your energy as an animal healer are among the many different aspects covered in the course.

BalancedBeing presents the theoretical basis of healing, giving special consideration to its application to animals. We give healing to a variety of animals in different environments, giving students as broad an experience as possible in the two days. Work with pets and farm animals is covered, as well as addressing the different needs of wild animals.

This is a very practical and supportive course giving students all they need to use this beautiful discipline professionally or in their own home; whichever they desire.
